35 students enrolled in Butler Tech programs achieved top rankings at the 2017 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) National Cluster Meetings. Of those 35 students, 3 were from Edgewood, Kamryn Walter, Hannah Thomas and David Winter.
Students masterfully demonstrated their skills and knowledge in a number of events specific to their program. Of the 35 students, seven earned first place; 12 earned second place; 11 earned third place; two earned fourth place; and one earned fifth.
FCCLA is a national career organization for students enrolled in Family and Consumer Science programs that helps build their leadership skills for their academic and career pursuits. In addition, students also learn how to build strong families and be active participants in their community.
