Choirs Performed at Ohio Statehouse on December 13

Our EHS Concert Choir and Introduction Choir gave an amazing performance at the statehouse for their holiday program on Thursday. We were only 1 of 10 school districts invited to perform this year at the statehouse. A special Thank You goes to Ohio State Representative Candice Keller for inviting us. Choraliers Help to Spread the Holiday Spirit

Our EHS Choraliers visited all our elementary schools, EMS, our Board Office & even sang at Bob Evans during lunch on December 10! They'll also be entertaining everyone at the White Christmas assembly on December 14. Thanks to Mrs. Libby Wolf and all our amazingly talented Choraliers for sharing so much cheer & “Fruitcake”!

Changes to Boys Basketball Games at Madison on Saturday, Dec. 8

Madison Mohawks have just notified Edgewood about changes to the Boys Basketball games scheduled for Saturday, December 8. The games will still be played at Madison. Here are the schedule changes for Saturday's games: Freshman Basketball Game has been cancelled. JV Basketball Game will start at 5:30 pm. Varsity Basketball Game will start at 7 pm

Spirit Week, Quarter Wars & White Christmas

Spirit Week is scheduled from Monday, December 10-14. EHS students and staff are encouraged to participate by wearing the designated holiday "gear" each day next week. Quarter Wars are taking place from December 7-13. Proceeds raised from this event will be given to our EMA Food Pantry in Trenton and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Then, on Friday, December 14, we'll celebrate with students from Babeck, Seven Mile, and EES at our White Christmas program. It should be a great week to get into the holiday spirit and raise money for our two designated charities. More details are provided below...

Cougar Character Trait Award Winners for December

EHS students Alyssa Clem (9th Grade), Jacob Schenck (10th Grade), Abbi Joseph (11th Grade) & Evan Lane (12th Grade) were nominated for the Cougar Character Trait Award of the Month. These students were selected by EHS staff for going above & beyond our expected Character Traits behaviors, both in class and outside the classroom. Congrats to these Cougars!

Student of the Month for December

Our EHS Student of the Month winners are: Natalie Harbaum (9th Grade), Jacob Wood (10th Grade), Madeleine Ames (11th Grade) & Alan Hingsbergen (12th Grade). This award is given to the student, in each grade, who is academically successful, helps others, involved in activities or sports in/ outside of school, has an excellent work ethic, and demonstrates many of our Cougar Character Traits: Kind, Accepting, Honest, Determined, and Brave. EHS Choirs to Perform at the Ohio Statehouse

The Edgewood Concert Choir and the Introduction Choir have been invited by Ohio State Representative Candice Keller to perform at the Ohio Statehouse, in Columbus, The performance will take place on Thursday, December 13 from Noon- 1:00 p.m.. Edgewood is only one of ten school districts participating this year’s holiday performance schedule. This is the first time Edgewood has been given the opportunity to perform at the statehouse. Libby Wolf, Edgewood High School Vocal Music Teacher said, “This is very exciting for us! Our choral program is growing and this opportunity will give our students the chance to shine outside of their seasonal concerts”.
