EHS HOSA Blood Drive was a Success!

The blood drive held on February 22 was a successful event. The HOSA Club wishes to send a sincere Thank You to everyone who donated & volunteered. There was great participation from students and staff (from the high school and our district)! Special recognition goes out to Paige Bowling, Emma Allen, Mrs. Erb & Miss Kemp for all their time in organizing this a great event for the Community Blood Center.

Community Make-A-Wish Fundraiser: Date Changed to March 7

Our Edgewood Make-A-Wish Fundraiser has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 7 at 5 pm (previously scheduled on February 22). Please join us at the EHS gym for an evening of fun. There are events planned for every age! There will be a dodge ball tournament along with a carnival. Your attendance will help our EHS clubs and organizations achieve their $8000 goal for this worthy cause. Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, like Edgewood sophomore, Tanner Young.

Join Us in Supporting Mattie's Day- March 12

Cougars & Mohawks are uniting together to support Mattie, a Madison Mohawk student, in her fight against Ewing Sarcoma. Join us on March 12 at Madison High School for a night of fun, hope & support. Doors open at 6pm, events start at 6:30 pm. Tickets: $3.00 for students; $5.00 for adults.

Results of our Overtures 1st Competition

Congratulations to our Overtures who competed in their very 1st competition on Feb. 15 at Hamilton High School. They competed against schools from Ohio & Indiana. Their hard work was rewarded with a 2nd runner up award. So proud of our incredibly talented students!

OMEA Solo & Ensemble Winners

EHS musicians participated in the OMEA (Ohio Music Education Association) Solo and Ensemble competition on Feb. 9-10 at Lakota West High School. 2 EHS students earned a rating of 2 (Excellent) and the others earned a rating of 1 (superior). The EHS Percussion Ensemble also performed at this event and earned a 1 (Superior) for the 2nd year in a row. Congratulations to all these talented student-musicians!

DECA Recognized by EHS Staff

At this week's Staff meeting, our DECA Club was recognized for their outstanding dedication, commitment, and work ethic in our high school. These students were praised for the critical role they play in our school's community. We appreciate all the projects this club supports for our school. Caitlin and Gracie, officers in the DECA Club, accepted this Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of DECA.

Corey Hunt (9th Grade), Caleb Truett (10th Grade), Holly Hood (11th Grade) & Justin Faris (12th Grade) were nominated for the Cougar Character Trait Award of the Month. These students were selected by EHS staff for going above & beyond our expected Character Traits behaviors, both in class and outside the classroom. Congrats to these Cougars!

Cougar of the Month for January

Congratulations to these EHS students who were selected as February's Cougar of the Month. This award is given to one student, within each grade, who shows: academic growth and improved in & out of the classroom.
