Senior Awards

Edgewood High School seniors were recognized for their outstanding scholastic, athletic, musical, and community service at annual Edgewood Senior Awards Night on May 21. The awards given included 37 State of Ohio Honor diplomas, 53 Edgewood Honor Graduate diplomas along with 38 local community and school-sponsored awards and scholarships. FCCLA Competition Results

The Edgewood/Butler Tech High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) students from the culinary arts classes qualified and competed in the State FCCLA competition. All eight students will be advancing to the National FCCLA competition in Anaheim, California from June 28- July 5. Samantha Roy and Heidi Edens took 1st place in the Food Innovations & Occupational competition, Kaylee Pearson earned 2nd place in the Interpersonal Communications (Junior competition), Rylie Abrams, Lexi Livingston and Madison Dirksen received 2nd place in the Food Innovations (Junior competition), Lacey Bales took 2nd place in Sports Nutrition (Junior competition), and Hope Burton won 1st place in Focus on Children.

Edgewood Receives School of the Year Award from Make-A-Wish

At the end of each school year, the Make-A-Wish foundation of Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana recognizes a single outstanding youth leader, educator, and school or district across all three states for amazing contributions towards wish granting. With these awards, the foundation strives to highlight those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty and embodies the true spirit of a wish – one who inspires hope, strength, and joy in their school, their community, and their world. This year, Make-A-Wish has proudly recognized Edgewood City Schools as the “School of the Year” for 2018-2019.

Final Exam Schedule with Early Release Days (May 21-23) & Attendance Pass

Final Exams for students in 9th, 10th, and 11th Grade will take place Tuesday, May 21 through Thursday, May 23. On each of these 3 days, students will be released early after exams. Specific information about final exam schedule is attached below and was emailed to students and parents. Attendance expectations are also provided in the other document below, including an Attendance Pass that must be completed, signed, and turned into Mrs. Kristy Clemmons by Monday, May 20. The last day of school is Thursday, May 23.

Parents, Pickup Your Students Medication by May 31

We are fast approaching the last day of school and would like to remind you to please pick up any medication that your child has been taking at school. It is our district’s policy that students may not transport medicine to and from school. An adult must be responsible for the medication due to safety reasons. If you have already counted out the medications and know that there will be none left, you will not need to come to the clinic. Any medications left at school after May 31, 2019 will be destroyed and discarded. We thank you for your cooperation and support in this very important matter.

Top 10 Scholars Honored

EHS honored our Top 10 seniors in academics on May 13 with a luncheon and college signing event. They were accompanied by their parents, family members, their Most Influential Teacher, and friends. It was the 2nd year for this special event and it was a great way to celebrate the last four years of accomplishments of these outstanding young men and women. The top 10 scholars include: Christian Peerzada, Zoey Howard, Alex Felts, Olivia Page, Brooks Theobald, Kyra Wells, Cassidy Crouch, Grant Rawlins, Elizabeth Coldiron & Jacob Oney. We wish each of these students all the best and look forward to hearing about all the great things they achieve in the future!

Eight Seniors Receive Middletown Community Foundation Scholarships

Congratulation to EHS seniors Blake Perdue, Corbin Shatto-Craft, Emma Allen, Becca Vogel, Hannah Manuel, Elizabeth "Ellie" Coldiron, Cassidy Crouch, and Kyra Wells for being selected as the Edgewood recipients of the Middletown Community Foundation Scholarship awards. They were recognized and received their scholarships during a luncheon, hosted by the Middletown Community Foundation on May 10. We are so proud of each of you!

We are looking for Cougars who will be entering in the 6th - 11th Grade next school year & who are interested in bowling!
