Dancing with the Edgewood Stars

Edgewood students, families, and staff are invited to the EMS Auditorium on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7 pm to cheer on Edgewood staff members as they take the stage to raise money for a good cause. Mayor of Trenton Visits Students in Room 330

Students in Room 330 have been studying about government, political leaders, legislation, and ordinances. They recently had the opportunity to hear Congressman Warren Davidson speak in September. Today, October 10, Mayor Calvin Woodrey, from Trenton, visited for a Q & A session. Students prepared questions concerning the responsibilities of being a mayor, handling difficult issues, as well as highlights of the position. Mayor Woodrey also shared information about the style of government Trenton operates under in addition to the role City Council plays in city government.

A Big Thank You to our EHS Cafeteria Staff and Custodians!

What a great way to start the day! Our Student Ambassadors showed their thanks to our Cafeteria Staff and Custodial Team at this morning's Staff meeting. Our students and staff are so grateful for everything these dedicated team members do for our school.

Edgewood Leadership Retreat

On September 28, representatives from EHS student organizations had the opportunity to learn and grow together as leaders. Approximately 50 students spent the day engaged in workshops, led by leadership development facilitator Sydney Snider, where they developed team mission statements, goals, and plans of action. The students enjoyed learning more about their own organization, as well as the other organizations represented at the event. The event was coordinated by the Edgewood/Butler Tech FFA. We look forward to seeing the difference that our student organizations make in our school and community this year!

Nominations Being Accepted for Edgewood's Athletic Hall of Fame

The Edgewood Athletic Hall of Fame committee is currently accepting nominations for the upcoming Athletic Hall of Fame class induction to be held in February! Now is the time to honor those athletes who have been a part of the strong athletic heritage of Edgewood High School! The deadline for nominations is Thursday, November 1, 2018.

Student of the Month for September

Our EHS Student of the Month winners are: Kelton Salyers (9th Grade), Leane Kinney (10th Grade), Alexis Lech (11th Grade) & Christian Peerzada (12th Grade). This award is given to the student, in each grade, who is academically successful, helps others, involved in activities or sports in/ outside of school, has an excellent work ethic, and demonstrates many of our Cougar Character Traits: Kind, Accepting, Honest, Determined, and Brave. Congratulations to each of these students!
