September's Cougar of the Month

This award is given to one student, within each grade, who shows: academic growth and improved in & out of the classroom. Cougar Character Trait Winners for September

EHS students Rylee Rosenfelder (9th Grade), Cayla McNamara (10th Grade), Landon Zimmerman (11th Grade) & Blake Perdue (12th Grade) were nominated for the Cougar Character Trait Award of the Month. These students were selected by EHS staff for going above & beyond our expected Character Traits behaviors, both in class and outside the classroom. Congrats to these Cougars!

EHS Women's Soccer Fights F.A. at "Kick for a Cure" Charity Fundraiser

Come out on Saturday, October 6 to Kumler Field to support EHS Women's Soccer and Edgewood/Butler Tech HOSA for their fundraiser to fight Friedreich's Ataxia (F.A.). This is a rare genetic disorder that affects EHS Senior Natalie Watson. Our EHS JV Women's Soccer team will play at 1:30 pm; Women's Varsity Soccer plays at 4:30 pm. There will be food, games, basket raffles and more. Your support is truly appreciated!

What An Honor!

The Corporate Partnership Activation department with the Cincinnati Bengals has selected Edgewood's Varsity football team for this week's "Gatorade High School Football Spotlight". Every week, as part of sponsorship agreement with Gatorade, the Bengals like to highlight an outstanding performance from a high school football team in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. With the recent victories by our EHS football team, we been have selected to be the Spotlight team of the week! Congratulations to our EHS Varsity football team and coaches!

Cougars for the Cure

The FCCLA (Family, Careers, Community Leaders of America) and Edgewood High School Volleyball invites you to attend their annual "Cougars for the Cure" fundraiser on Thursday, October 4. This fundraiser is to benefit Tina's Angels. A bake sale and silent auction will take place beginning at 4pm at the Event Entrance at Edgewood High School. Starting at 4:30 pm, three volleyball games will take place. Admission to the games is $2.00 for students, $6.00 for adults. Come out and support this great event and remember to wear pink!

Shout Out Across the Field

On Friday, September 14, our EHS cheerleaders received the “Shout Out Across the Field” megaphone from the Northwest cheerleaders, during the football game. It's signed & passed on to a new team each week. At Friday night's game at Harrison, we had the privilege of passing it on to the Harrison cheerleaders!

Kickoff Delayed for Friday, Sept. 21 Football Game at Harrison

The kickoff for Friday's varsity football game, at Harrison, has been moved to 8:30 pm. This decision has been made by Harrison due to predictions of early evening storms in the area. Any EHS student who has been approved and paid to ride on the Spirit Bus to Friday night's football game at Harrison: the bus will leave at 6:30 pm from the Edgewood High School Event Entrance.

Visit from Congressman Warren Davidson

How often do you get the chance to meet, or better yet, talk to your Congressman? Our EHS juniors and seniors from Government class along with our JROTC cadets had that chance when Congressman Warren Davidson visited on September 18. He not only took time to share his story but answered so many questions from students. They ranged from gun control to undocumented aliens to policing to legalizing marijuana and the opioid epidemic to balancing the budget. Then, after each session he stayed to meet and greet students which made a big impact on everyone!
