Attention Seniors: College & Career Job Shadowing Day is Feb. 20

Every senior has the the opportunity to participate in a job shadowing experience or visit a post-secondary school/college of your choice on Wednesday, February 20. If you choose to participate, you will need to complete the College and Career Readiness Application (below). You may pick one up in the main office. The application must be completed by Tuesday, February 6, 2019 and turned into Kristy Clemmons. You must complete the application to be excused from school for the full day on Feb. 20. If you are not participating, then you are expected to be at school. If you have questions, see an Administrator.

OMEA District 13 Honor Band Performance

Congratulations to the EHS Band members who performed in the District 13 Honor Band concert on Sunday, January 20, at Mason High School. The students who were selected for this honor had auditioned in early December. They were selected based on their musicianship and performance. All students, who were selected for this year's Honor Band from high schools within the southwestern Ohio area, came together for two days of rehearsal. The result was an outstanding concert performance that will be remembered by all who were in attendance. Great job to each of the following Edgewood High School musicians who were selected to be a member of this prestigious band!

Girls Basketball Games Rescheduled

The EHS Girls Basketball games that were cancelled on Saturday, Jan. 19 due to weather, have been rescheduled. Make-up games will take place on Thursday, Jan. 24 at Harrison. Game times: JV-6:00 pm, Varsity-7:30 pm. Come out and support our Lady Cougars!

Attention Juniors: ACT Test & Job Shadowing Scheduled for January 20

The ACT test is one of the nation’s college entrance exams accepted by universities and colleges in the United States. The ACT is based on what students learn in high school and provides personalized information about their strengths for education and career planning. A student's ACT score will be utilized for post-secondary readiness. Edgewood juniors will be taking the ACT on Wednesday, February 20th at Edgewood High School and will be on an adjusted schedule that day.

Congratulations to these EHS students who were selected as January's Cougar of the Month. This award is given to one student, within each grade, who shows: academic growth and improved in & out of the classroom. Our EHS Student of the Month winners are: Sarah Volle (9th Grade), Evan Rainey (10th Grade), Kassi Snader (11th Grade) & Gabe Arrowood (12th Grade). This award is given to the student, in each grade, who is academically successful, helps others, involved in activities or sports in/ outside of school, has an excellent work ethic, and demonstrates many of our Cougar Character Traits: Kind, Accepting, Honest, Determined, and Brave. Congratulations to each of these students!
