Dear Families of Edgewood High School Students,
It is great to be a Cougar! It is an honor to be the principal at the Edgewood High School. The mission of Edgewood City Schools is to ensure all students succeed as lifelong learners and productive citizens, through challenging and meaningful learning opportunities. My team of teachers, classified employees, and administrators are striving to meet this goal every day as we provide opportunities for your student. We value the partnership that Edgewood High School has with each family as we support your student’s education.
Here at Edgewood, we offer numerous opportunities for students to be engaged and challenged not only academically, but through extra and co-curricular activities as well. As a staff, we are committed to teaching and modeling the skills that prepare students for their future.
We have several new programs and classes offered for the 2018-2019 school year. One program that I would like to highlight is the Air Force JROTC. The mission of JROTC is to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community. I am excited for this program and all of our programs that guide students.
I encourage families to stay involved in your student’s high school experience at Edgewood by attending events, monitoring their progress, and communicating with the high school on a regular basis. Please consider volunteering for special events, projects or participate in the activities sponsored by the school or parent organizations. Edgewood High School is a special place because the community bonds together to support our students. I look forward to an outstanding year and working with your children in the upcoming school year. Go Cougars!
